EDF: Honourable Hinkley
EDF Energy's Hinkley Point C is the first nuclear power station to be built on UK shores in a generation, marking the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry. The two nuclear reactors will provide low carbon electricity for around 7% of the homes making a major contribution to the UK’s move to reduce carbon household emissions. The electricity generated will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year over it’s 60 year lifespan.
